Grief, & Bereavement Counselling

Grief is a normal response due to sudden or expected loss of another person or animal, which bring feelings of sorrow and pain.

Bereavement is the period of mourning after a significant loss. In the counselling sessions we learn to sit and hold feelings associated with the loss so we are able to endure the pain of that significant loss and learn to explore what life might look like with the loss. Life unfortunately goes on regardless and it is in reflecting, acknowledging and accepting that in time we can move forward, not letting go off that which we have lost, but learning to live with the loss.
